Haha *bows* thank you :) Yes, they tasted wonderful :) Indeed, if you can make croissants, you can make anything. Haha, that's cute with your enthusiasm/excitement and all!

Hope your show recordings are going well!

I am still trying to make peace with the croissant Gods with this recipe. Yeah I got butter leakage too :( and I am not happy about it. I'd post a pic on here but I don't know how. . . I think I measured it out and I loss about 4 - 5oz of butter from the original recipe (called out for 22oz). Could have been my process though or maybe it was just the recipe. Did you follow the instructions exactly -- particularly referring to the laminating process in terms of the size of your plaque?

I am going to try Pierre Herme's recipe and let you know if you're interested. He does 4 single turns and the butter block is split between the first 2 turns (and then the plaque is rested) then the last 2 turns. The end product looked exceptionally flaky.

Yes, you get a bit of butter on the pan if I remember correctly. I think that's normal. How did yours turn out otherwise? It's such a fun process and they are nothing like store-bought. ;)

Hey Miri, those do look wonderful! Just out of curiosity, did you end up with some pools of butter that leaked out while you were baking your croissants? Or did you end up having those croissants bake pretty clean without butter leakage?

Thanks!

So perfect it made me want to cry! I can't even remember the last time I ate a croissant because after having them in France everything here sucks. Always figured making croissants was a fool's errand but I am definitely going to have to try it now. Just need to find that free weekend...

They are so beautiful in the pictures.
